FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. Your prices seem to be extremely reasonable but what am I getting for my money? A. Next to family your pets and your home are probably the most important things in your life - are you really happy to entrust these to someone who is not fully qualified for the job, insured or police checked? As has been mentioned on the Introduction page one of the primary objectives of The Happy Pet Sitting Service Ltd. is "to ensure both the wellbeing of your pet and the care of your home while you are away". It is also our priority to provide a safe, caring and comfortable environment for dogs boarded with Host Families. We are a member of the National Association of Registered Pet Sitters and are police checked, insured and qualified. We believe that we offer a second to none, professional service that ensures that we achieve our primary objectives and your complete satisfaction. Q. Won't everyone know I'm not at home if I employ a pet sitter? A. They will if your pet sitter turns up in a fully sign written van! Unlike vans and cars of other companies and pet sitters our vehicle is anonymous and carries no signage when on sitting visits. Q. Will I need to show a proof of vaccination? A. Not for walking or visiting, but we will discuss your pet's medical history. Unless requested, we do not 'group walk' dogs with other “non-family” dogs or socialise your pets with others. Proof of vaccination is required for home boarded dogs and any injections must have been given more than 4 weeks before boarding starts (or in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions). Q. Do you offer overnight service where you stay in my home? A. No, we do not offer overnight (house sitting) service at this time. Q. Do you have boarding facilities? A. Yes, both our own home and that of each of our carefully selected Host Families are licensed by the relevant local authority. Licensing indicates the home has been assessed as successfully meeting rigorous conditions covering husbandry, welfare, health and safety. Q. Can you look after our pets for a single day or weekend? A. Yes, we don't impose minimum or maximum limits on your absence and can usually handle short notice bookings. However, during popular holiday periods, it's always safer to book early. Q. What are your usual working hours? A. We normally work between 8.00am and 6.00pm. Visits can be made outside these hours by prior arrangement and at an additional cost. Q. Are you insured? A. Yes, we carry £5,000,000 of public liability insurance. Q. Are you able to administer medication? A. Yes, administration of medication, whether by injection or tablet is not a problem Q. How do I know that I can trust you? A. The Happy Pet Sitting Service Ltd. is a private limited company and its full details are a matter of public record. The National Identification Service Authentic Document, provided by the Cheshire Constabulary will also be made available for inspection should you require to see it. Q. What will you do if my pet becomes sick while I am away? A. Should your pet become ill or injure itself in your absence, we will take the animal to your appointed vet. Before your departure we will ask you to provide details of your vet, emergency contact numbers for yourself or someone to act on your behalf, such as parents or trusted friends. Should the worst happen and your pet was to die, you must tell us if you wish to be informed whilst you are away and what you require us to do from thereon. Q. Who provides food and supplies for our pets while we're away? A. We don't want to interrupt your pet's routine by introducing anything new that they might not like so you leave us your pet's normal food and supplies. |
