Our Vehicle: The Happy Pet Sitting Service Ltd.'s pet taxi is a Fiat Doblo Cargo van which has been specially converted to provide the maximum comfort and safety when transporting your pets.

The bulkhead and partitions between cage areas are 3/4 solid and 1/4 mesh, so the driver is always aware of your pet's environmental conditions. In addition the air scoop which has been fitted to the roof provides extra ventilation. A front cage is accessible through either side door while 2 further cages are accessible via the rear doors. The cages are lined with easy to clean glass fibre and the floor has been fitted with drain plugs allowing for easy washing out.

One Family At A Time: We only transport "families." Whether you have only one dog; or three cats and a dog, they will not be commingled with other animals that you know nothing about. They will not be transported in a huge vehicle that has to stop here and there across the country to pick up and drop off other animals. Nor will they be subject to any ailments, aggressions, or diseases that these other animals may have.

Global Positioning System: We use GPS (Global Positioning System) to provide the quickest routes to deliver your pets. This makes “door-to-door” delivery of your pets much safer and easier.

Communication: Our pet taxi is fitted with a "hands free" mobile phone to ensure safe communication with our driver at all times. You will be provided with the pet taxi's mobile phone number so you can follow your pet's progress.

Animal Health: The health of the animals in our care is always our priority. As a member of the National Association of Registered Petsitters we have access to the Vetfone service which will offer advice to our driver on any health issues that arise, or direct him to the nearest veterinary surgery. Mark and Karen have both received training in animal first aid and the van carries first aid kits (human and animal!)

Vehicle breakdown: As a contingency we have full breakdown and recovery insurance which allows for onward travel in the event of our taxi becoming unserviceable. This insurance also covers the provision of a replacement driver in the event of ours becoming ill.

Authorisation: The Happy Pet Sitting Service Ltd. has Type 2 Animal Transporter Authorisation, issued by Animal Health (formerly the State Veterinary Service) and can take your pet anywhere within the UK (journey time of up to 12 hours). The Pet Taxi service is fully covered by care, custody and control insurance as well as having full third party liability cover.
